Happy Halloween, everyone…:)

It’s that time of year when the ghouls and goblins come out to play.

In celebration of my favorite holiday, I made caramel apples this afternoon. Yeah, I know, like my fat ass needs caramel apples, but hey, it’s Halloween. Then of course there’s Thanksgiving, then Christmas and with the new year starts the vicious cycle all over again along with a shopping spree for new jeans one size bigger.

Along with the holidays comes the realization that I’m in a rut. I write at home and I believe if I have to look at these four walls one more day, I’ll lose my mind. I need a change of scenery, a new writing local. Some place exotic would be nice, with two tall muscular men to cater to my every whim. I do write menages after all…hehehe. Or maybe some place cold where I could curl up in front of a fireplace and watch the flames flicker and the snow fall silenty to the ground. Hmmmm. I believe this needs more serious thought.

And I believe I need another caramel apple…:)

Back from the women’s expo booksigning in Kingsport Tennessee. We had an amazing time. But before I get to pictures, I wanted to say something.

Normally, I keep things light and talk about daily life, events and upcoming releases. I don’t get into discussions about politics or religion, nor do I flame other authors. I think that’s tacky and I refuse to do it. But I will say this. I was extremely disappointed in one author in particular’s behavior this weekend. I’ve never met a more ungrateful, hateful, unhappy Deva in my life and I will never buy another one of her books. I won’t say who she is. I don’t do that, but if she reads this, she’ll know it’s her. She was the only one there complaining and making demands like a queen.
Deva doesn’t look good on an author, ladies. Remember that and check your egos at the door.

Now, onto pics…:) Me at the Sunday signing.

Jessie Verino, me, Prof. Bass and Jon Jefferson, otherwise known as Jefferson Bass.

Me and Barry Eisler, author of the John Rain series. If you like thrillers, you should check out his books. They’re really good.

Group shot, from left to right, me, Crissy, Angela Knight, Rebecca York, Lora Leigh, Melissa Shroder, Mary Wine, our bookseller friend, Melissa and Kay Stockham. (I think I spelled that right)

CJ Hollenbach and our cover model contest winner, Micah.
Our author dinner was a blast and the food was fabulous, but damn it was a lot of work. It was a murphy’s law weekend. If it could go wrong, it did go wrong. But I suppose that’s the nature of events such as these. None of them ever run perfectly and as one of the people behind the scenes on this one, I can say without a doubt that it’s not as easy as it looks. My hat is off to all those RWA conference coordinators…:)

I just signed a contract with Loose Id for my menage-a-trios/romantic suspense, Their One and Only. It will be available March 2008. I’m very excited about this one and don’t worry, I’ll be posting excerpts soon…:)
