I just love the beach. I love the way it sounds as the waves crash onto the shore. I love the way the salty air smells. I even love the watch it. I could spend hours just looking at the waves or watching a storm roll in, such as the one below. You can see the rain as it moves across the waves toward our hotel.
The beach is pretty much deserted, most everyone inside and if you’re quiet, the only sound you hear is the rain, a few cars going up the road and the waves.
This was our trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We had a great time swimming in the ocean, exploring the Boardwalk at the Beach, where my daughter bought yet another build a bear…:) We did Ripley’s Aquarium, which I have to admit, after the huge one in Gatlinburg, the one at Myrtle Beach was a let down. It was very small and only took us about 40 minutes to go through the whole thing.
We also did Family Kingdom, which was a blast. It’s an old time carnival type park with lots a rides and games and a very nice wooden roller coaster just a few feet from the beach and about 3 blocks from our hotel.
Of course we also did the all you can eat seafood buffets. Can’t go to the beach without doing those…LOL. The seafood isn’t as good as it is in New Orleans, but it’s not bad.
Here’s the view from our balcony.
It just makes you want to jump in it, doesn’t it? LOL. Next year is Disney World…again…I just love the mouse…:)
