Shutter is a well written, tightly plotted, erotically delicious story of a young woman who started with no reason for hope but won’t stopfighting for something better even after being forced to give up on her dreams. I admired Beth for making herself the best at her job and because she truly loved Jacob as a father, giving him much pride and happiness as a father figure. I admired Derrick for understanding that if he got involved with Beth and things didn’t work out she would leaveand break his father’s heart. The villain is blood chilling but Beth isdetermined not to let him control her and the subsequent revelations changes everyone’s relationships. The sex is gratifying and thrilling. Be warned this is a ménage story of sex between one woman and two men atthe same time, but what men they are! The ever present paparazzi are apalpable secondary characters that does more to shape the lives of our characters than I could ever have imagined. Shutter is an intriguing story focusing on the best and the worst of human nature. You won’t beable to put it down.

With Blood Rite, Trista Ann Michaels has written a very dark yet seductive vampire novel sure to satisfy even the most die-hard paranormal or erotic fan. This novel has all the key elements: magic, blood, sex, ménage play, thrills and chills with a touch of humor thrown in as a bonus. Rich in character development, strong in plot, and filled with plenty of lush love scenes this story contains all the literary components needed to make it a definite fan favorite.
Never having read this particular author before, I was pleasantly surprised at how multi dimensional and well-developed the players are, not your typical literary characters doomed to remain true to typecasting for the entire book. Ms. Michaels’s characters are fluid, able to adapt as the situation warrants, which keeps the reader guessing how the book will develop. She has a gift for fast-paced and witty dialogue that shows true emotion between her characters. There are quite a few surprises in this story, but nothing too outlandish or unrealistic that would keep the reader from believing the basic storyline. A very entertaining book, well worth it’s favorable recommendation.
Woohoo…:) Thanks, Mickey!!
I also received 4 stars from RT Magazine for Entwined Fates: Captive, although I haven’t gotten to actually read the review yet…sigh. I really need to subscribe to that magazine…:(

Magazine photographer Bethany thought the nightmare of her past was over, that she could finally move on without fear. She thought wrong. Thank goodness she won’t have to face it alone. She has Nathan and Derrick to help her. But Bethany wants a little more than just their help.Derrick and Nathan are used to sharing women, but never a woman they both have feelings for. While they struggle to get past the jealousy and tension of their joint seduction, they have a bigger, more important battle—against the monster determined to claim her for himself.
With two Alpha males like Derrick and Nathan around a girl could get mighty comfortable. Each man is wonderful in his own way and both have their eye on Bethany. Can she choose just one? I know I would have a hard time choosing myself.
Trista Ann Michaels writes a great flowing story brining you into her world and making you a part of it. I truly loved the depth of all her characters especially Bethany. She fights her way back from a dark past and learns to take back her life. Finding herself and what she enjoys. As Bethany begins to grow into herself a threat from her past shows up. With Derrick and Nathan at her side she must confront this monster so she can get on with her life.
This book is a hot read with each man trying his best to seduce Bethany and win her heart. I found it hard to cheer on just one. The love and trust that grows between the three is beautiful to read and in the end we can see how it was all worth the trouble. I enjoyed the relationship between Nathan and Derrick a lot. Being best friends and doing everything together even sharing women but that all changes when they each realize they have feelings for Bethany. They both go on a roller coaster ride of feelings and fight for their friendship as well. Derrick and Nathan must learn as they go and must help Bethany and put her before all else.
A great read full of action and suspense this story should not be missed.

A great review for Shutter from Chris at Night Owl Romance.
This was a read that sucked me in from the first page and when I looked up, I realized a lot of time had passed. It flowed effortlessly and kept me on my toes and interested. If it wasn’t an erotic interlude between Bethany and one of her men, it was all three of them or some unexpected attack by her stalker. The shifting paradigm of Derrick and Nathan’s friendship was more realistic than what you usually find in a story about a ménage relationship. Bethany’s struggles with her baggage from her childhood and eventual confrontation that put her abuser in jail made the story sad as well as entertaining. A read not to be missed.
Woohoo!!
Thanks, Chris

Well, all moved in…sort of…:) I still have scads of boxes left to unpack, but I’m getting there. Before we left, we decided to have a big family get together in the mountains. We had a great time and some even better food. Check out my 83 year old grandmother. Doesn’t she look amazing? I hope I look that good when I get that old. Beside her is my uncle, who we like to call, ‘the hulk’ lol.
And of course, we can’t forget the chefs…:)
