Meet Nay-Nay…:)

The introduction of Nay-Nay to our cat, Nubbin went pretty good. Nubbin only hissed once and is now hiding, watching Na-Nay cautiously from under the coach…lol

Crazy cat…:)

She’s just adorable and so tiny. The kids love her already. She follows the kids around the house and her paws slide on the hardwood floors..lol.

Nubbin will come around eventually, I’m sure. Then we’ll never be able to separate them.

Just looking at these pictures make me cold. It’s not as bad as it could’ve been. At least the power didn’t go out.

Ice hanging from my patio table.

Even the grass is coated in ice. Kinda good looking…:)

I hope everyone is staying warm.

Well, I should probably knock on wood, the night isn’t over yet…lol.

We have about an inch or so of ice outside and so far, we still have power. I’ve been a little nervous for most of the day about that. At our old house, I had a fireplace and a gas stove, so if we lost power, I could still heat and still cook. Here at the rental, we have no fireplace and no gas stove. I’ve used gas for so long, it took me a while to learn to cook on electric again…lol.

Most of the day was spent working on my next romantic suspense and standing over my son with a stick, making sure he does the math homework he’s behind on.

What is it with kids and homework? I swear. I told him if he didn’t start doing his work, I was going to go to class with him wearing my leather mini skirt, my thigh high stilettos and bright red lipstick. Embarrass the hell out of him…that usually works…lol.

What kid wants their mother walking the halls with him dressed like a hooker. Poor child. It’s amazing he doesn’t have mental issues…:)

I think this one is just hilarious…lol

What Starts with F and ends with K??
??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ?
A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students.
The teacher asked,?‘Harry, what’s your problem?’?

Harry answered, ‘I’m too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I’m?smarter?than she is! I think I should?be in the 3rd grade too!’?

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal’s office.?

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the?boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.?

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he?agreed to take the test.?

Principal:?‘What is 3 x 3?’

Harry:?‘9.’?

Principal:?‘What is?6 x 6?’?

Harry:?‘36.’

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.?

The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her,?‘I think Harry can go to the 3rd?grade.’?

Ms. Brooks says to the principal,?‘Let me ask him some questions.’?

The principal and Harry both agreed.?

Ms. Brooks asks,?‘What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?’?

Harry, after a moment:?‘Legs.’?

Ms Brooks:?‘What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?’?

The principal wondered why would she ask such a?question!?

Harry replied:?‘Pockets.’?

Ms. Brooks:?‘What does a dog do that a man steps into?’?

Harry:?‘Pants.’?

Ms. Brooks:?What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and?contains thin, whitish liquid?’?

Harry:?‘Coconut.’?

The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks:?‘What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?’?

The principal’s eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied,?‘Bubble?gum.’?

Ms. Brooks:?‘What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a?dog?does on three legs?’?

Harry:?‘Shake hands.’?

The principal was trembling.?

Ms. Brooks:?‘What word starts with an ‘F’ and ends in ‘K’ that means a lot of heat and excitement?’

Harry:?‘Firetruck.’?

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the?teacher,?‘Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong…..’

Gamer

It’s 2034, and humans can control and kill each other in a large-scale online gaming world. But Kable (Gerard Butler), a wrongfully convicted soldier forced to join the violent competition, tries to free himself by taking out its evil architect, Ken (Michael C. Hall). While being controlled by a rich kid (Logan Lerman), Kable must also save his wife, Angie (Amber Valletta), who’s trapped in her own avatar world.
I was very excited to see this movie. I didn’t get a chance to see it at theaters and now, i’m kinda glad I waited until I could get it through Netflix. I was a little disappointed.
While Michael C. Hall played a great Ken Castle, (similar to a demented Dexter, his little dance scene toward the end made me laugh) and Gerard played a great Kable, the whole choppy feal to the movie left me feeling a little lost. And what’s with the gore? I think the same movie could be made without all the excessive blood and guts and still be amazing and  those split second erotic images gave me a headache more than anything else.
I won’t ruin it for anyone, but overall, it was okay and the ending was great I just didn’t like the way it was put together. Too choppy, too weird.
Although…I did get an idea for a erotica story. Virtual sex…lol.

Title: Deadly Crimson
Author: Trista Ann Michaels
Publisher: Loose Id
Publisher URL: http://www.loose-id.net/
ISBN: 978-1-59632- 950-8
Genre: BDSM, Paranormal, Ménage {m/f/m}
Rating: 5 Nymphs
Literary Nymphs Reviewer: Amazon Nymph

Stacy is investigating her friend’s death even though she has been ordered off the case by her captain. She was one of six women who died after taking a new “drug” that is hitting the club scene, four of whom had been seen at the Coven.

Jason and Vincent are trying to find out who is using their club as a distribution point and do not want to have the police investigating, especially when they find out that the “drug’ is actually a mix of three different vampire’s blood mixed with silver.

Deadly Crimson is an intense suspense story, with half the book intense sex between Stacy, Jason and Vincent. Throw in two sexy wizards, Vampires and a club scene and you get the wonderful world that Ms. Michaels has created in this book. I kept having to go for ice after reading the different sex scenes but she does a wonderful job of keeping you on your toes during the investigation. You don’t get a clue who the bad guy is until close to the end of the book.

Tessa Williams is one brilliant rocket scientist, who just can’t seem to find a decent man to date. Well she has had two men in her past that turned her head but the timing wasn’t right with either of them. So she does what any self respecting scientist would and dives into her work whole hearted. Now suddenly the government project she has worked on is coming to a close, but before they can finish, things start to go drastically wrong. The coworker, the only other person with the launch codes, suddenly goes missing, and foul play is assumed. Now Tessa finds herself under protection of N.C.I.S. and on the run for her life.

What are the chances that her protectors are the same two men who still have pieces of her heart? More importantly these two men who have shared everything seem to not have told each other about Tessa. What will happen when they are now suddenly on the run, and in close quarters? Will these three be able to survive the red hot reactions to each other, and keep Tessa and National Security safe?

Spicy intelligent men, a sexy intelligent woman and a `who done it’ all in one story, what more could you ask for? Nick and Jake are a pair to recon with and I love that Ms. Michaels has written just the woman (Tessa) that can take them both on. There are a number of twists and turns in Leave Me Breathless, and I don’t mean just in bed either. I have long enjoyed Ms. Michael’s writings and find the military/civilian tie in with Leave Me Breathless to be a great setting for this suspenseful romance.

I swear, I’m dying. Since moving to the Memphis area, my allergies have been so bad. Allegra and Singular just wasn’t working anymore, so I headed to an E.N.T. last week for something else. Now I kinda wished I hadn’t. For starters, I have to have sinus surgery…again. Don’t you just wish drs would do it right the first time around? Is that really too much to ask?

He also wants me to get allergy testing, which I haven’t ever done. That sucks because I have to go 10 days without any medication. Nothing, nada, zip because the allergy blockers will alter the tests. Hence the dying part. My head is killing me, my throat hurts from all the drainage and the sneezing is driving me up a wall.

I get tested Friday. Five more days. Believe me, they can’t go by fast enough.

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate Memphis? Never thought I’d hear myself say this…but I want my house in the country back! I want my mountain view back! Hell, I even want my chickens back! lol.

Oh, well. I guess it’s time to stop griping and hit the writing grind again. Stories won’t write themselves…:)

Hugs…:)
