Our hike to Clingman’s Dome
Today was the family crawfish boil. We had a blast…:) It was such a beautiful day. Clear blue sky, not too hot, not too cold, just perfect. Below are a few pics.
I don’t believe he’s quite old enough for crawfish yet, but it won’t be too much longer…:)

Today was my grandson’s dedication at Grace Babtist Church. It’s my daughter-in-law’s grandmother’s church, so I’d never been. It’s very nice and very big. The choir alone was well over 100 members, then they had 2 drummers, 4 guitarists, 1 piano player, a brass section, a woodwind section and keyboardist. Needless to say the music was great.
That’s my son in the blue shirt holding Mason.
And here they are on the massive screen over the main stage. The church service is televised, but I’m not sure which station.
And here are all the proud grandmothers. With one great-great grandmother, who’s in the middle, two great grandmothers and two grandmothers, there’s no doubt this child will be spoiled rotten…lol
After the dedication we all went out to eat lunch at Red Lobster. I think it’s great both sides get along as well as thy do. It’s nice to be able to include her side in family gatherings. Makes the family feel even bigger…:)

Everyone that knows me knows how much I love the French Quarter…:)
It’s one of my favorite places to go. Thank god I have family there, so I can go as often as I like…lol.
I just love the buildings and the atmosphere, the whole party vibe.
I usually make a stop at Cafe Du Monde but this past weekend there was a line half a block long. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen it that crowded, so we headed over to the Franch Market instead.
I find something to buy every time I go in that place.
My daughter and her aunt…:)
Despite the crowd, we had a fabulous time just like always…:)

My new baby, Nay-Nay is growing like a weed and loves all the attention she gets…:)
Is this my good side?
Or is head-on better?
lol. she’s so spoiled…:)
I got up this morning, got a shower, got ready for the eye doctor appointment I had later today, so he could tell me just how blind I truly am…lol.
As I came down the hall toward the kitchen, I saw my daughter getting ready to take the dog outside. I helped her with the leash, then headed on to the kitchen.
As I poured my coffee, I heard my daughter open the front door and yell, “what?? Mom, look outside.”
I did and I was shocked at what I saw. Snow. 5 inches worth and still coming down.
I hadn’t watched the local weather in a couple of days. The last time I saw it, they were calling for rain.
Yep…looks like rain to me.
Needless to say, I was shocked. I’m still shocked…lol. But it’s certainly pretty to look at.

Meet Nay-Nay…:)
The introduction of Nay-Nay to our cat, Nubbin went pretty good. Nubbin only hissed once and is now hiding, watching Na-Nay cautiously from under the coach…lol
Crazy cat…:)
She’s just adorable and so tiny. The kids love her already. She follows the kids around the house and her paws slide on the hardwood floors..lol.
Nubbin will come around eventually, I’m sure. Then we’ll never be able to separate them.
Just looking at these pictures make me cold. It’s not as bad as it could’ve been. At least the power didn’t go out.
Ice hanging from my patio table.
Even the grass is coated in ice. Kinda good looking…:)
I hope everyone is staying warm.

Anyone that knows me, knows I love playing around with my camera. I’ve always envied the photographers who could do the ‘photographic art’. I’ve never had that artistic eye, but I enjoy snapping pictures, non the less. Below are a few I took at the park the other day.
